"(AG=91) Bright golden yellow. Tropical fruit, smoke and bacon on the rich nose. Lovely bittersweet flavors of ginger, apple and caramelized banana. Finishes long and suave with notes of crystallized ginger and candied tropical fruit. Very high, vibrant acidity gives an almost austere quality on the back end. Intelligently, given the very difficult 2014 vintage, Bott declassified the Gew’_rzes Sonnenglanz, Sporen and Furstentum into this cuv’©e, and it shows in the quality of this outstanding entry-level wine. (RP=87+) The golden-yellow colored 2014 Gewurztraminer Les ’_l’©ments includes the grapes of three de-classified grands crus: Sporen, Furstentum and Sonnneglanz. The wine opens with an intense and aromatic bouquet of rose petals and crushed stones. Rich but also fresh and piquant on the palate, this Gewurz is provided with exotic fruit aromas, a racy acidity and a good grip that gives a long finish. This is pretty well-sorted Gewurz even though you get the special 2014 vintage (or fruit-fly-caused) flavors here as well."
