CHABLIS GRAND CRU, Vaudésir
Located between Valmur and Preuses, next to Grenouilles, the grand cru Vaudésir spreads over almost 15 hectares . Vaudesir is characterized by a more sloping land, a less calcareous and a bit lighter soil than the other grands crus. The vinification and ageing are carried on as for the Bougros. Round, fat and seducing, Vaudesir has also a great fineness.
(AM=90-92) This evidences enough wood to notice though it allows the pretty and mildly exotic aromas of peach, apple, white flowers and various classic Chablis elements to be appreciated. The seductively textured yet refined flavors coat the mouth with dry extract on the impressively long, balanced and stony finale where a hint of warmth appears. This should reward up to a decade of cellaring.
